"Om" Mantra Twist
The powerful Om mantra is written on each earring! The beads are creamy Naga shell, and the batik method was used to write the Tibetan characters in wax, the beads were then dyed brown, and the wax resisted the dye making the symbols visible. Om Mani Padme Hum is considered the mantra of compassion and wisdom. Though literally translated to mean Praise to the Jewel in the Lotus, it is considered to embody the essence of Buddhist teaching. Couldn't we all use a little more compassion and wisdom in our lives? The twist design will have your earring admirers asking "how'd you get those on?" but don't worry-it's easy! Just think of the twisting 14k gold-filled wire as you would a really long post - start by gently pushing through the front (I usually put my other thumb behind my lobe to keep it steady) and keep moving the wire through until it falls like it does on the mannequin.
