Amazonite Twist
Vibrant, glowing amazonite! A quick glance might confuse it with turquoise because of the color but they are not related in any way. Amazonite is a microline feldspar, and unlike turquoise, in thin slices, it would show translucence. I think that may be why these earrings seem to glow from the inside out. Amazonite can range in color from robin's egg blue, to pastel seafoam, to vibrant bright green. In addition to their stunning color, these earrings have a twist! Curious admirers will ask "how'd you get those earrings on?" but don't worry, it's easy! Just think of that 14k gold-filled wire as you would a post - gently start them in from the front and ease them along until they fall like they do on the mannequin. These beauties are 2" long by 1/2" (12mm) wide and weigh 2.8 grams each - about a penny by comparison.
