Classic American turquoise from Nevada! These brilliant stones have just a touch of green to warm them up, along with the rich, earthy brown matrix that is quintessential #8. The warmth is further enhanced by the sleek 14k gold-filled wire - so modern, so sculptural! The #8 mine is now closed to turquoise mining but continues to be mined for gold. This little piece of the American Southwest is 1 5/8" long and 1/3" (8mm) wide and weighs a scant 1.3 grams - that's less than a Puffs tissue for comparison! In the "group photo" with the gorgeous #8 slab, this pair is pictured in the upper right. I hate to play favorites when it comes to beautiful stones, but #8 has a special place in my heart ... and stone stash.
