#8 Tiny Twist
Classic American turquoise from the #8 mine in Nevada - one of my personal favorites - and this one has a special twist! The contrast between the brilliant blue turquoise and its warm brown matrix makes this stone a standout every time. Every pair is unique - every stone is unique! You don't often see turquoise paired with gold (except at my shop because 14k gold-filled wire is my favorite for its warmth, its affordability and no tarnish) but the earthy quality of #8 just screams for gold, don't you agree? The twist is that extra touch that will have your curious earring admirers asking "how did you get those in your ears?" Don't worry - it's easy! Just think of the twist as if it were a looooong post - the end of the wire goes in from the front and you just keep nudging it through until it falls as it does on the earring mannequin. This little piece of the American Southwest is 1 1/2" long and 1/3" (8mm) wide - and weighs just a tad over one teeny gram.
